The Football Handbook

 

The Football Handbook was a park works collection from Marshall Cavendish. Released weekly it ran for 63 issues in the late 1970s early 1980s And covered all aspects of football. Aimed mainly at the children’s market. The complete collection filled three binders that could be purchased separately. Recently a hardback book has been released covering the first volume, although complete collections can be purchased on eBay quite cheaply. Or even charity shops occasionally have them, that’s where I got mine L3 for the lot. Rangers featured in the magazine on various occasions. But the collection as a whole makes very interesting reading.
Included below are some images of the featured Rangers content. Some of those sideburns are longer than the shorts.
