Ibrox Blue Heaven

Today Ibrox stands as one of footballs greatest, instantly recognisable grounds. Ground hoppers, that rare breed who attempt to visit every ground in the UK make Ibrox their favourite destination. Most of these travellers know their stadium history. They realise that Rangers have led the way in football ground stadium development throughout the history of football. To visit Ibrox is like visiting the Mecca of British footballing stadia.
Ibrox  today stands as a blueprint for stadiums across the UK after the terrible events of Hillsborgh and the aftermath of the Taylor report. Ibrox was the place directors and chairmen of other clubs visited to learn about the requirements of a modern ground. The story of Ibrox is a mixture of tragedy and triumph. Rangers have learned the hard way.
