Rangers Scotlands Greatest Football Club

The Rangers History project began in June 2007. The project aims to provide a record of the rich history of Scotlands most famous football club. The site is not only for Rangers fans but all football supporters.

The project remains a work in progress. Many parts of the site are still under construction. The project is open to anyone who wishes to contribute and has an interest in Rangers or football history in general. If you would like to get involved with the project please let me know via the contact page.

Any help, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. You may have details about Rangers games or events involving Rangers. You may have photographs or images of Rangers players or teams that could be used on the site. You may wish to have an article about Rangers published on the site, please let me know via the contact page.

At present the site spans the years 1872-1900, all Rangers match details are included. Some of which have never been published in books before. All competitions thast Rangers have competed in are recorded and are complete with tables and results from other competing clubs. There may be matches events or competitions that are not included if you have any knowledge of these please let me know via the contact page.

Most areas of the site are still under construction. There is a huge amount of data still to be added. and many areas still need to be checked for errors. This will take some time,

This site would not have been possible without the help of RVB Web Design< who provided all the space and technical assistance that makes it possible. They did this free of charge.

This site is for my late Father. George Bruce BEM (A Father, Grandfather, RAF Physical Training Instructor, RAF Parachute Jump Instructor, RAF Mountain Rescue Team Leader. and awarded the British Empire Medal and Queens Commendation. And a Rangers fan. This is for you Dad.

A Message for the press. You are welcome to use details from this site but please give credit where it is due.

Bill Struth Manager of Rangers

"I have been lucky - lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroked
devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making
Rangers FC the premier club in this country.

To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a
name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception
of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed
in the tradition set him.

Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than
ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the
others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for all of us. We
will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of
failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No
matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger
because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the
Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.
